Role of Nutrition in Inflammatory Bowel Disease

What is the true impact of nutrition on Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)? Why the conflicting recommendations when it comes to diet and IBD? This presentation will review the current evidence and pathophysiology of IBD and the role of nutrition. Topics include malnutrition, micronutrient deficiencies, utilization of enteral therapy and exclusive enteral nutrition, formula characteristics, dietary approaches, and the gut microbiome.
